Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

When you hear the word "training" everyone has something come to mind. Everyone envisions different things. It could be sitting in meetings for hours on end and not really learning everything they are teaching. It could be something boring and really not interesting to you. Then there are those that love to go to trainings and ask all kinds of questions. Windows Registry Junk. Drilling Down To The Root Of The Problem!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Most often, Windows registry is so bloated with junk that one can only guess at its volume and sigh at the fact that one cannot manually get rid of it. It is a fact that the Windows registry is constantly bombarded with keys of applications that are banished from the face of the system but allowed to leave its stamp in its innards; the registry. An important part of making books!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Making books with children in my home school is one of the most enjoyable pastimes I know. It creates a language-rich environment, encourages better reading skills and fires the imagination. It also gives parents and children a shared time of special memories. The most important part of making books with children is to keep it simple and use easy-to-find materials. Both save on frustration for parent and child. Here are instructions for my three favorite books. These generic books can be used in many different ways and for any subject or topic you can check it out from www.newbies-guide-to-making-software.com Take a sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 copy paper. Fold in half and in half again, so there are four boxes when unfolded. Cut along the fold lines so there are four small sheets and stack. Cut two pieces of construction paper slightly larger than the sheets add to sheets and punch two holes on one edge. Thread with ribbon, yarn or string. This is just a variation on the small book. Take 8-1/2 x 11 sheets, as many as needed, stack, create cover slightly larger than sheets, staple or punch and thread with yarn, ribbon, etc. Add sheets as needed to make a longer book. Cut two 8-1/2 x 11 sheets in half the long way.

How To Protect Your PC Against Drive By Downloads

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

It’s in the news frequently, and many security websites list it among their top ten concerns for computer users. Drive by downloads happen on an increasing basis, and while it may be a frightening term, a “drive by download” is fairly easy to understand. Typically initiated by an automated process, not the computer user, these are “automated downloads” not requested by the consumer. In many cases, the site you’re working with will seem to call for an additional piece of software before the site works properly. Usually, the user will see a pop-up suggesting that in order to fully experience the site, you have to “click here” to download the right software. However, clicking simply gives the program full access to your computer and orders the installation of software you weren’t initially notified about.
