Smart Card Technology Protects You

Smart cards are often used by government agencies and private enterprises to secure physical and network access. Smart card technology uses an encrypted card (about the size of a credit card) for multifactor user authentication. Smart cards have an embedded cryptographic chip that is very difficult to replicate. As such, it is hard for an attacker to copy the smart card and use it to gain access. As long as the authorized user maintains possession of the smart card, an attack is prevented.

HTS Codes for Importing and Exporting

If you work in exporting or importing, you probably are familiar with HTS codes, or Harmonized Tariff System codes. Basically, the HS tariff classification codes are intended to distinguish between certain groups of products coming to and from certain countries to determine the fees and regulations associated with those things. There are more than 170 member countries in the World Trade Organization that use these codes. The organizations that ship and receive products in these countries must all use HTS code lookup to determine the correct tariffs and other factors related to their shipments.
