There are many activities to be indulged in to avoid the boredom that comes from driving but few of them are legal and most require that you remove at least one hand from the wheel with the possible implications of being stopped for careless driving. When it came to decorations, my grandmother told me not to wrap a disappointment. By that she meant not to make a gift look better than it actually was. Because I'm gift wrap challenged - paper held together by lots of tape and topped with a stick-on bow - that's not a problem.

Hotel establishments are finding increasingly inventive ways of encouraging clientele to stay with them as opposed to their competition. The credit crunch has hit this business as much as any other and it has become necessary for them to offer more services to make a stay more convenient for visitors.

Biker jokes often make the best bar jokes, especially if told in a bar that bikers frequent as they are the most inclined to laugh at these jokes. People tend to like jokes that are about them, even if they are less than flattering. Most people will not get sore if they are told a joke, especially if it is told in a good natured way.

Last night the ground moved. Again. It started a little after 8:00 and lasted about 15 seconds; a swaying motion rocking back and forth. It had been a while. Actually several years. This one was a 5.6 and was the biggest we have had since the 7.1 quake in 1989; you probably remember the World Series Loma Prieta earthquake.

Think savings - think bank. I remember being given lollipops at the bank when I was a little girl. That's when banks gave toasters for opening new accounts and gave calendars for Christmas. Banks have changed. Now some give free checking accounts, some give free use of ATM's and some give free safety deposit boxes. Some banks have high-yield money market accounts and others have super-high-yield accounts. Getting everything you want in one place isn't something you can bank on anymore.

Everyone needs a laugh from time to time and what a great way to get the crowd laughing by telling some hilarious call center jokes.
